Approvals and questions

Ziva asks before running actions that need permission and shows the proposed input, including an edit preview when available.

Approve or reject an action

  1. Review the action and any code or command shown in the approval panel. A file diff shows which lines Ziva will add or remove.
  2. Choose Allow to approve it once, or Always allow to remember that exact tool permission for this project.
  3. Choose Reject to deny every action currently waiting for approval in that chat.

Auto-approve actions

Go to Settings → Agent and enable Auto-approve all actions to run actions without showing approval prompts.

Auto-approve does not answer Ziva’s clarifying questions.

Answer or skip clarifying questions

A Clarifying Questions card replaces the message box when Ziva needs more information before continuing. Questions have no time limit. Ziva waits until you answer or skip, or press Stop on the card to end the task.

  • Choose an option, select multiple when allowed, or type your own answer.
  • Use Previous and Next for multiple questions, then Submit to send your selections and text.
  • Select Skip question, Skip all, or X to continue without answering.

Skipping does not send unsubmitted selections or text, approve actions, or remove your queued messages.

Troubleshooting questions

  • Ziva asked the same thing again after I skipped. Tell Ziva in a message to use its best judgment, or answer the question.

Answer or dismiss the question to let Ziva continue. Messages sent from the message box during this wait are follow-ups, not answers; see Queue and steer.
